- Open Internet Explorer. Watch the YouTube video to its complete length.
- Take a look at the address bar and remember the character set written after = sign on your Internet Explorer’s address bar. This will represent the name of the video file you’ve just watched
- Now go to Tools > Internet Options. Click Settings and then View Files
- A folder will be opened. The video file you’ve watched is present here.
To make searching of the file easy, sort files in this folder according to their Type. You can do this by clicking the column-heading of the third column (i.e., Type). Now you see files arranged according to their type.
- In files of type “File” look for a file whose name consists of the character set which you noted from the address bar. This is the video file you want to save
- Copy and paste it to desktop or any other folder. Rename it and must add “.flv” at the end of its name because it’s in flv (FLash Video) format.
